But this is likely because I grew up with horses and know there's just tons more to them than the short shrift they get in TS3 as just part of the Pets EP. It would definitely be a niche EP though and I'm not sure it would sell well enough to convince EA to do it, which is unfortunate. But rather than a specific Pets EP where everything is kind of lumped in and not done well here is what I'd prefer. Dogs and cats as part of base game.

Horses as part of 2 separate EPs, one with a Western theme and world and another with an English theme and world. So in the first you'd have a Western town with saloons and the like and Western types of riding and gear and in the latter you'd have an English countryside world with old manor houses, English riding and gear and jumping. Again, the horses and what you can do with them would be just PART of these EPs. Then I'd like to see various animals start to appear in other EPs. A safari EP could have lions and other large wild animals and maybe a monkey and parrot pet.

Small pets of various types should appear in the other EPs as well. Farm animals in a farm type EP. Different types of dogs and cats could be added to various EPs as well. After all, what's France without French Poodles and Ireland without Irish Wolfhounds??? In other words, put the animals in where they make sense, don't just slap a few into a single EP and tell us that's all we're ever going to get! Coolmule123, Don't get me wrong, I like horses, including the ones in the Sims 3, but it would be too much for a single expansion pack.

Also judging by the past sims games, they will only make one or two more expansions more than the previous one. That means there will only be twelve or thirteen eps at most, and I don't want them to waste one on just horses.

Also they'll only make an average of one or two eps per year. I don't think a horse ep would be worth the 40 dollar price tag, and don't want to wait about another six monthes for them to make an EP that will be worth buying to me. No offense, but I want a pets ep that includes horses, not an ep for just horses. They could still put more stuff in it than they did with the Sims 3 Pets. That includes new stuff for the horses.

I would never buy a horses expansion pack because I'm just not that interested in horses I can agree though that horses in the sims 3 weren't done well I tried having horses but I always felt like I didn't have enough space for them they should have at least made it so you can keep them separate at a barn or be able to purchase a second lot beside your own house lot for a field where multiple horses could run around You bring up a good point about space for horses. What would be great is a horse boarding facility, a separate lot where you stable your horses (and NPC Sims would as well) that has training arenas and the like. You would pay to keep your horses there and their needs would be met because they would be taken care of by NPC stablehand Sims. This would really help for those of us who like horses but find the CONSTANT interaction and care required by them in TS3 to be too much. It would also be great if we can own more than one residential lot again and use the 2nd lot as barn and pasture land and keep the horses on it rather than our main residential lot. Hmm well the horses were the best part of the pets EP in TS3. I would love it for them to bring back horses in their pets EP.

Also they should let children ride horses - I rode my first horse(not pony) at age 6. Besides which sims are not real people - they are durable!

Tbh I found the cats, dogs, and small pets incredibly dull in TS3 and pretty annoying in TS2. Also the addition of fleas without the option to apply flea medication was annoying, imo. We should totally have the option to put flea collars on our pets. As it is, I always use cheats to get the pet cleaner from Buydebug so my pets just go wash themselves when they get fleas.
